Description:
The practicum is a faculty-supervised and client-driven learning experience. Student teams work on projects defined with client organizations. These organizations are either engaged in building the field of social entrepreneurship, launching new social ventures or growing existing ones. Past clients have included Ashoka Changemakers, Synergos Arab Social Innovators Program, and the Center for Family Life in Sunset Park’s Worker Cooperative project. Students will work with clients to realize their venture plans – whether by engaging in market research, business strategy, communications strategy, fundraising strategy, branding, community engagement strategy, training and other aspects of venture development. Elective in the Milano School Social Entrepreneurship Area of Specialization. Partially fulfills the practicum requirement for the Master of International Affairs

It is strongly recommended, although not required, that you take Introduction to Social Entrepreneurship prior to taking this advanced level practicum.
