The course covers a range of methodologies for collecting, organizing, analyzing, and presenting data for the purpose of understanding an organization and fostering its self-assessment. We explore data collection through such strategies as questionnaires, structured interviews, and focus groups. This is coupled with a project in a client organization for which students assume primary responsibility. The project requires gathering data and managing the feedback process so that clients can understand the assessment.
