Description:
This course provides a review, description, and introduction to the practice of methods and techniques used by drama therapists, including but not limited to Moreno's Psychodrama, Landy's Role Theory, Johnson's Developmental Transformations, Emunah's Five Stages, and Fox's Playback Theater. In addition, clinical techniques such as sandplay, storytelling, drama games, projective techniques, performance, masks, and puppets are explored and discussed. The course includes a final paper and a leadership project, in which each student leads the class. NOTE: Students pursuing the certificate cannot register online. CAT certificate students must meet with an advisor prior to registering each semester and register in person with a certificate registration form signed by the program coordinator.
