The field of creative arts therapy is rapidly gaining recognition as an essential part of health care in our society. By tapping into the deeply expressive aspects of body, mind, and spirit through such modalities as music, sound, imagery, role, and movement, the therapist facilitates self-actualization and healing within the therapeutic relationship. Prominent practitioners demonstrate principles and practice in this series of experiential presentations. This fall's scheduled speakers are Patricia Capello, ADTR, LCAT, dance therapy; Sherry Reiter, PhD, poetry therapy; Mari Flannery Kelly, MSc-ATR, art therapy; Louise Montello, DA, LCAT, MT-BC, music therapy.
