Description:
This studio course is an opportunity for intermediate and advanced students of the visual arts to complete self-directed projects, aided by the technical and critical support of an experienced instructor. Rather than receiving class assignments, each student plans, develops, and produces an original project or series: drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, animation, or mixed media. Create a coherent series of work for exhibition, build your portfolio for graduate school, advance your professional development. Guest artists and critics enrich class discussions. The emphasis is on articulating a personal approach to a chosen medium. Bring samples of your work (originals, digital media, or Web-based) to the first session for review.
