Murals tell stories. So what do the murals of New York tell us about the city? This introduction to New York’s greatest works of public art explores the complicated creation of these murals and the ongoing legends about them. We study the evolution of mural art during the turbulent last century and how it reflected the taste, style and ideas shaped by changing social and economic forces of the city.
