This is the second course of a three-semester sequence that introduces students to the fundamentals of speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Arabic. The course integrates Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and Levantine Arabic. Students expand their vocabulary and improve their grammar skills. More complex topics of conversation are introduced as students continue learning about contemporary cultures of the Middle East. Prerequisite: Arabic Level 1, the equivalent, or permission of the instructor.
