Description:
A common criticism of nonprofit organizations is that they have not developed a capacity to think and plan strategically. The objective of this course is to explore many aspects of strategic planning and management and evaluate the relevance of this common business tool in the not-for-profit environment. The course will consist of readings, discussion, case studies, and analysis of the applications of strategic planning in other organizations. The tools and approach are equally applicable to nonprofit, for-profit or governmental organizations.
