University-Wide
All matriculated undergraduate students must earn a 2.0 term GPA and cumulative GPA to remain in good academic standing. Students with less than a 2.0 term GPA or cumulative GPA will be placed on academic probation. Students who earn less than a 2.0 term GPA or cumulative GPA for two consecutive semesters will be dismissed. Any undergraduate earning less than a 1.0 term GPA will be dismissed.
Additional school requirements to remain in good academic standing
At Mannes College, students also must earn a grade of "B-" or better in required classes to remain in good standing in the program. Students on academic probation who receive grades below "B-" are subject to dismissal. Mannes College students who fail remedial courses are subject to dismissal.
At Parsons students must earn a satisfactory grade "C" in each required course to remain in good academic standing. Students who do not satisfactorily complete a required or sequential course, but who are otherwise in good academic standing, are subject to Curricular Probation. Students on Curricular Probation who fail to make satisfactory progress are subject to dismissal and may be ineligible to continue in portions of their academic programs until the deficiency is resolved.

Graduate students who do not complete one-half of accumulated attempted credits after two consecutive semesters in their program are subject to probation and will not necessarily be allowed to register for more courses and/or equivalency credits in the following semester. Students are additionally responsible for meeting department/program academic requirements in order to remain in good academic standing in their program.
At Mannes College and Drama all students also must earn a grade of "B-" or better in required classes to remain in good standing in the program. Students on academic probation who receive grades below "B-" are subject to dismissal. Mannes College students who fail remedial courses and Drama students who fail any required course will be dismissed.
