The Office of Recreation and Intramural Sports sponsors outdoor recreation programs within and beyond New York City limits. These programs are an opportunity to learn new skills, develop personally, and create lasting friendships. Depending on the goals and needs of participants, outdoor recreation can also be used as community service trips or leadership retreats. Trips take place on weekends and during school breaks.
In recent years, the office has sponsored hiking, backpacking, biking, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, and ski trips. All trips are offered at or below cost.
