Students in dorms with mandatory meal plan programs are automatically enrolled in a Dining Dollars meal plan. All other students are encouraged to enroll in the meal plan program. This program works like a debit card. Funds are deposited into your account, accessed by your newcard and purchases deducted from your account. Since this is a meal plan, food purchases are not subject to sales tax. Your available balance is displayed at the register at the end of each transaction. The available meal plans are:
118 West 13th Street Residence Dining Dollars (Meal Plan A)
All residents at the 118 West 13th Street Residence Hall are automatically enrolled in this meal plan, excluding Mannes students. Mannes students are enrolled into Meal Plan B. You have the flexibility to use your meal card at all campus dining locations. You are welcome to add more dollars to your plan throughout the semester. Money remaining on your card in the Fall will carry over to the Spring Semester, but cannot be refunded after the Spring Session.
Cost: $1700 per semester
Loeb, Stuyvesant Park and 20th Street Residence Dining Dollars (Meal Plan B)
All students residing in the Loeb, Stuyvesant Park and 20th Street residences are automatically enrolled in a $225 Dining Dollars meal plan. You have the flexibility to use your meal card at all campus dining locations. You are welcome to add more dollars to your plan throughout the semester. Money remaining on your card in the Fall will carry over to the Spring Semester, but cannot be refunded after the Spring Session.
Cost: $225 per semester
Non-Resident Student Dining Dollars (Meal Plan C)
All students are encouraged to enroll in a meal plan program. This program provides convenience - you use your newcard for your food purchases - and saves money because meal plan purchases are not subject to sales tax. You are welcome to add more dollars to your plan throughout the semester. Money remaining on your card in the Fall will carry over to the Spring Semester, but cannot be refunded after the Spring Session.
How do I enroll in or add money to my Dining Dollars account?
To initiate a Dining Dollars account or to add monies to an existing account, you can visit Campus Card Services at 66 West 12th Street, Room 409. All forms of payment (cash, check, credit card, or money order) are accepted for the Dining Dollars program.
