Employment authorization for J-1 International Students depends very much on their I-94 status while in the USA. You must obtain a formal written letter authorizing academic Training (employment) from your Responsible Officer.

Your Responsible Officer may be on campus at ISS or may be a representative of another sponsoring organization.
