Summer Intensives at The New School for General Studies

Take a Summer Intensive course at The New School and be part of the vibrant life of New York City with a total immersion program in Writing. Daily classes are supplemented by guest lectures and field trips drawing on a cultural richness and diversity that no other place in the world offers. Your teachers for this unique academic experience are working authors and editors, translators and linguists.

Summer Writers Colony

Take part in workshops and literary salons with renowned New School faculty members, visit legendary literary venues, and meet authors, editors, and agents at the center of the contemporary American literary scene. MATESOL - Summer Intensive Program For Teaching Concentration

Teaching concentration students can begin by taking 12 credits in an eight week on-campus program in New York City. With this option, students can expedite their studies, enjoy the vibrance of NYC and experience a traditional, face-to-face classroom.
