The Health Education office provides a variety of health-related workshops, training, classroom presentations, and face-to-face sessions to student in every school. Topics include, but are not limited to: fitness, smoking, nutrition, LGBTQ issues, spiritual health, gender specific health topics, communication skills, relationships, drugs and alcohol, stress, and time management. All programs and services are structured to encourage and empower New School's community to work towards its optimal health and well being in a non-judgmental and supportive environment.
Peer Health Advocates
All New School students are welcome to join the Health Education team as Peer Health Advocates. After completing a selection process and training program, students will provide advocacy for student issues including sexual health, mental health, substance abuse, and sexual violence prevention. Please contact a Health Educator for more information about how to become a Peer Health Advocate.
