Sign on to MyNewSchool and take a look at the enhanced electronic services available in the Student Financial Services channel under the Student tab.
In an effort to offer greater access to invoice and payment information as well as reduce our impact on the environment, The New School will begin issuing electronic invoices for the fall 2007 term. Students will no longer receive paper invoices at their official address, and will instead receive a notification to their New School (@newschool.edu) email account when an invoice is ready to be viewed online.
New students will receive a pre-bill notice that will estimate his/her charges and approved financial aid awards. After the registration process has been completed for the first time, new students will receive an electronic invoice.
Students can sign-up to receive electronic refunds, which are direct deposited to their savings or checking account. This service will be available starting with the fall refunding period and students may sign-up now.
For students who are using a Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students to finance their educational expenses, a paper refund check (if applicable) will still be sent to the parent borrower.
A new payment plan for fall 2007 will use real-time information about your student account to calculate charges and payments. Enrollment begins July 9th for continuing students, and July 16th for new students.
Students can now make payments online using a checking or savings account. No more writing checks!
Students can designate an authorized user (parent, relative, guardian, employer, etc.) to view their account and make payments on their behalf. If a student designates an authorized user, the user will receive e-mail notifications such as: new invoices available for viewing, or that a payment for his/her payment plan is due, etc..
Students can store payment methods for faster transactions. Simple access the ÒMy ProfilesÓ link to store either credit card or checking/savings account information. The stored payment method will become an option for payment each time you make a payment through the system.
