Due to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), please note that in regards to email inquiries that Student Financial Services is only able to answer general questions via email, unless the student uses their official New School email address. Upon using the official university email address, we are then able to discuss details of the account.

Furthermore, due to confidentiality requirements described in FERPA regulations, we cannot always disclose information to parents that they might wish to know about their son or daughter. He or she is the best source of information for you. We will be as forthcoming as we can and ask for your understanding when we tell you we cannot understand a specific question you may have. Students have access to their own student record through the ALVIN website. Here students may obtain information regarding their grades, financial aid awards, student account, and payroll information.
