The museum is dedicated to preserving and presenting the history, heritage, culture, and diverse experiences of people of Chinese descent in the United States. The museum promotes dialogue and understanding among people of all cultural backgrounds, bringing 160 years of Chinese-American history to vivid life through its innovative exhibitions, educational, and cultural programs. After a guided tour of the museum, students will talk with museum staff about internship opportunities. Discounted tickets for New School students with ID are $5 and must be purchased in advance at International Student Services at 79 Fifth Avenue, fifth floor.International Education Week runs November 16-20. International Student Services sponsors numerous events as an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international and cultural exchange. Please sign up for each event by emailing iew@newschool.edu. International Education Week Frequent Visitor Card – Win a Nintendo Wii! IEW Frequent Visitor Cards will be distributed to students attending International Education Week events. At each event, the student will receive a sticker on his/her IEW frequent visitor card to confirm attendance. Students must drop off their IEW Frequent Visitor Card at International Student Services no later than 12 p.m. on Monday, November 23 to be eligible to receive a prize. Students with the most number of stickers will be entered in the raffle for a Nintendo Wii.
