Come celebrate the world at your door! International Education Week (IEW) is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to promote international exchange. International Student Services (ISS) coordinates fun and educational events that give students the opportunity to learn about other cultures. International Education Week (IEW) begins with the International Festival where you will get a chance to learn about other students’ countries and perhaps even get a taste of their food. Countries represented include Colombia, Turkey, Germany, Taiwan, Finland, Russia, with more to come! Musicians and performers: TBA ISS invites you to participate by hosting or helping us organize information at a table representing your own country. We also invite you to tell us if you can perform traditional music from your country and if you would be interested in doing so during the event. Please email iew@newschool.edu for more information or to volunteer. International Education Week runs from November 16-20. International Student Services sponsors numerous events as an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international and cultural exchange. For a calendar of events, please visit www.newschool.edu/studentservices/international or email iew@newschool.edu. Refreshments will be provided at all events, except tours. Please sign up for each event by emailing iew@newschool.edu. International Education Week Frequent Visitor Card – Win a Nintendo Wii!
