Campus Recreation

Recreational activities can help students transcend their individual differences, relieve the rigors of academic work, and enhance the university's sense of community.

Recreation classes are free to all degree students and are held once a week. Come by our office and see what we are currently offering, which may include Meditation, Salsa, Yoga, Tai Chi, and Karate.

Intramural Program

The Intramural program at The New School is designed for the participation, recreation, and enjoyment of the student community. Regardless of ability, we strive to realize the benefits of social recreation and competitive involvement. The Intramural Program provides the opportunity for physical activity, fellowship, promotes wellness and the use of leisure time.

Currently, we offer the following Intramural Programs during the academic year: Basketball in the Fall; Volleyball and Indoor Soccer in the Spring. These programs are co-ed, and we encourage you to sign up and participate regardless of your experience level.
