• Summer Programs

Continuing students who wish to receive a New School financial aid package for summer courses must file the Summer Aid Application. Not all academic programs support summer study. Check with your academic program advisor before applying for summer financial aid.

Priority deadline to apply: the last business day in April. Applications received after that date will still be processed, but funding is limited and may not be available for late applicants.

U.S. citizens and eligible noncitizens must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before the deadline for the Summer Aid Application.

Federal Direct Loans may be available to students who enroll at least half-time. Note, however, that a student cannot receive a summer school loan that exceeds his or her annual federal loan limit.

Summer term financial aid will not be disbursed until the official first day of classes for the summer session.

    Renewing Assistantships

Graduate students who have assistantships must consult with their academic department or program about extension procedures.
