The Department of Athletics and Recreation offers semester-long group fitness classes free of charge to all current New School students. Participating students are required to have health insurance and complete a waiver each semester. The department hosts a wide variety of classes, such as Boot Camp, Pilates, Yoga, and Zumba. All classes are taught by certified instructors and are held in the University Center's Fitness Room, 63 Fifth Avenue, L205 (take elevator 1 or 2 down to L2, or take the main staircase down to L1, then the A1 stairwell down to L2), unless otherwise noted. Come and get your blood moving, and stay fit and healthy for free!
We also offer personal training sessions at an affordable price for students, faculty, and staff. Our trainers offer sessions on a private, semiprivate, or group basis. Sessions start at just $16.50 per hour.
