The Schwartz Center for Economic
Policy Analysis (SCEPA), made possible through a generous gift from Irene and Bernard L. Schwartz, is the economic policy research arm of the New School for Social Research Department of Economics. SCEPA focuses on the U.S. economy, with an awareness of the global context of domestic economic developments. Our work centers on these three topics:

  1. Economic Growth and Development

  2. Equity and Living Standards

  3. Employment

SCEPA organizes events on the latest issues in economic policy, including workshops, conferences, and lectures by leading experts and academics in the field. Our research is disseminated through a series of Working Papers and Policy Notes
