Are you ready to earn your undergraduate degree?
The New School makes pursuing a degree easy for working adults and others who seek a nontraditional college experience. You can transfer up to 84 credits from your previous college and/or apply to receive credits for other relevant prior learning. You can study part-time or full-time. You can take courses on campus in Greenwich Village or online. You can design a path of study tailored to your individual goals and the things that matter to you.
Students in the Undergraduate Programs of The New School for Public Engagement choose their courses from an innovative curriculum that covers many subject areas including history, sociology, psychology, art history, literature, media studies, global studies, environmental studies, creative writing, foreign languages, management and business, and food studies. If you are a talented writer, you can apply to the Riggio Honors Program: Writing and Democracy (a sequence of creative writing and literature seminars that comes with financial aid). You can take advantage of links to New York City institutions and earn credit for internships. You can go further faster with an accelerated bachelor's/master's program at The New School. By careful choice of electives, you may be able earn a certificate in Creative Arts Therapy, Film Production, Screenwriting, or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages in addition to your bachelor's degree.
