    Community College Transfer Agreement Highlights

    1. The usual $50 application fee will be waived for students applying to the Bachelor's Program for Adults and Transfer Students under one of the formal articulation agreements.
    2. Admission to the Bachelor's Program for Adults and Transfer Students is guaranteed* to applicants who earn one of the Associate's degrees listed above and meet the other requirements of the articulation agreement: minimum 3.0 GPA and students must enroll at The New School in the fall or spring semester immediately following community college graduation.
    3. The New School BA or BS in Liberal Arts requires 120 credits, so at least half of the required credits can be transferred by students who graduate with one of these Associates degrees. Note: The articulation agreement will not apply to applicants who do not complete the Associates degree or do so with GPA of less than 3.0. The New School will evaluate their community college credits for transfer course by course.

    Community College Scholarships

The New School offers two scholarships for students who transfer at least 40 credits completed at any community college.

    • The Academic Opportunity Grant is awarded on the basis of merit and need to community college transfer students who demonstrate qualities that the admission committee considers would contribute to the strength and diversity of the New School student body.
    • The second is awarded on the basis of need and merit to members of the PTK Honors Society in recognition of academic achievement as community college students.

The New School reserves the right to deny admission to or continuance in our courses of study to any student who does not meet our academic requirements or code of conduct.
