    Sam Tanenhaus

    Editor of the New York Times Book Review since 2004, where he is a frequent writer. Previously, he was a contributing editor at Vanity Fair, where he wrote often on politics. His books include Whittaker Chambers: A Biography and, most recently, The Death of Conservatism. His essays, profiles, and reviews have appeared in the New York Times Magazine, the New Yorker, the New Republic, and the New York Review of Books.
