In today's creative economy, successful models of public administration and business increasingly take into account the interconnections of ecological, social, and financial sustainability, the "triple bottom line" approach to planning and development. This has created a need for managers who understand actual and potential sustainability issues and are competent to devise strategies for achieving sustainability across the three dimensions.
The Certificate in Sustainability Strategies attests to successful completion of a short structured program of study designed to build competencies in defining and implementing sustainability as a value and a bottom-line management goal.
A graduate degree is required for admission to this certificate program. Students come from diverse fields, including law (JD), business (MBA and MS), public administration (MPA), architecture and design (MFA, MA), and engineering and natural science (MS).
Students in the process of completing a master's degree at The New School may be able to complete the certificate program concurrently.
Contact the Office of Admission to apply or inquire.
