The Milano School welcomes applications from management professionals whose current or prospective careers place them in the role of initiating or guiding institutional change in organizations. A graduate degree is normally a prerequisite for admission. Applicants come from diverse fields, including business (MBA or MS), education (MEd), government (MPA or MS), law (JD), psychology (MA or MS), and social work (MSW). Exception: If you are currently enrolled in a master's degree program at The New School, you may be able to complete the certificate requirements concurrently with the master's degree—speak to an academic advisor before applying.

Rolling admission is available after the priority deadline. Applications are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Tuition is charged per credit. Go to the registrar to see current tuition table. Speak to an admission counselor if you are concerned about costs. The New School will work with you to help you finance your program. Prospective students may also wish to talk to their employers about defraying the costs of the certificate program.
U.S. citizens and permanent residents who file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are considered for loans and grants on the basis of need. (The New School's federal school code is 002780.) You do not have to wait for an admission decision to file the FAFSA. Veterans and active members of the U.S. armed forces may be eligible for education benefits administered by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Successful applicants will receive a letter of acceptance, which includes detailed information about and instructions about registration, financial aid, housing, student visas (for nonresidents of the United States), and other matters.
A decision to admit is always contingent upon the applicant's successful completion of any current studies and the receipt of a final transcript by the Admission Committee. An official final transcript must be on record before a student begins classes.
All materials submitted in association with the application for admission become the property of The New School and cannot be returned to you or transmitted to a third party.
