Joel Wittman is the founder and President of The Wittman Group, a consulting firm providing mergers and acquisitions and operations advisory services to companies in the home health care/post-acute health care sector. Mr. Wittman has more than 25 years of experience in the health care field. He is a former Chief Financial Officer of a 420-bed acute care hospital in New York City and the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, a $750 million home health company. He was Vice President of Health Care Services for a publicly traded home health care/supplemental medical staffing company that had more than 100 locations and generated $200 million in annual revenues. In the area of mergers and acquisitions in the home health and medical staffing fields, Mr. Wittman was Vice President of Telesis Mergers and Acquisitions and a Principal with The Braff Group. He has worked on completed transactions that created $650 million in enterprise value.
Mr. Wittman is a frequent speaker at national and regional home care conventions, seminars, and industry association meetings. He is an Adjunct Professor in Health Services Management at the Milano Graduate School of Public Administration of the New School University. He is also the President and Treasurer of Broadway Eleven Owners Corporation, a residential cooperative/condominium organization. As part of his community involvement, Mr. Wittman coaches a youth basketball team in a recreational league in New York City.
Mr. Wittman holds a MBA in Financial management from Pace University, a MS in Urban Education and Affairs from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York, and a BS in Economics from Brooklyn College.
