    Started her television career at NBC in New York. After 12 years in our country, she returned to Europe, where she creates and writes movies, miniseries and series for TVE, Telecinco, TVC, Canal Plus France, etc. Her miniseries “Operation Checkmate” was nominated for an EMMY, and her internationally awarded “23F: the King” is the highest rated prime time series in the history of Spain, and won her the ALMA Award for Best Screenplay and a Nomination for Best TV Screenplay at the International Television Festival of Shanghai. Other acclaimed works followed as her career expands into the realm of cinema. Helena is also a specialist at the prestigious Media Programme of the European Union and has been a visiting professor at universities in Madrid, London, Barcelona and other European cities.
