Part Time Lecturer
Allison Splaun, PhD, completed her doctoral degree in 2012 at The New School for Social Research. A primary focus of her studies was on treating adults and children using psychodynamic and integrative psychotherapy in both individual and group modalities. Allison has a particular interest in psychodynamic treatments for trauma in all age groups and recently completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship treating First Responders to 9/11/01. Allison is also highly engaged in research and while at The New School, collaborated with her advisors, Howard and Miriam Steele, to evaluate a parent-child group therapy program and developed a new coding system for a child story-telling measure, The Attachment-Focused Coding System for Story Stems.
