Robert L. Heilbroner Center for Capitalism Studies at The New School hosts When Free Speech and Democracy Conflict: Campaign Finance in the Age of Citizens United - A Talk by Jonathan Soros on Thursday, Dec. 3, 5-7 p.m.

Soros, Chief Executive Officer of JS Capital Management LLC, a private investment firm, and Senior Fellow at the Roosevelt Institute, will discuss campaign finance reform with Jeremy Varon, Associate Professor of History at The New School for Social Research; Deva Woodly, Assistant Professor of Politics at The New School for Social Research; and Adam Davidson, of the National Public Radio program "Planet Money" and The New York Times.

WHO:

Jonathan Soros is Chief Executive Officer of JS Capital Management LLC, a private investment firm; Senior Fellow at the Roosevelt Institute, a think tank based in New York City; and co-founder of Friends of Democracy, a super PAC and advocacy organization dedicated to reducing the influence of money in politics. He is the son of billionaire business magnate George Soros.
