THe new school's college of performing arts presents: (UN)silent movie night

WHAT:

In celebration of its new College of Performing Arts, The New School presents (Un)Silent Movie Night, an innovative collaboration featuring improvised performances and new music by the university’s School of Jazz and Mannes School of Music students. Under the direction of Charles Neidich, student ensembles will perform pieces set to two memorable silent films: "The Immigrant" (starring Charlie Chaplin), and "Sherlock Jr." (starring Buster Keaton).

Actor Matthew Broderick will emcee the evening’s events, with Craig Marks (who composed the score for Sherlock Jr.) presenting a pre-concert talk.
