The new school hosts daylong earth day celebration

Featuring Innovative Pop-Up Classes and Keynote Address by Rhea Suh, NRDC President

WHAT:

In celebration of Earth Day 2015, The New School’s Tishman Environment and Design Center (TEDC) hosts Earth Matters: Designing our Future, a daylong event featuring workshops, pop up classes, and discussions on climate action and sustainability spanning the disciplines. Topics range from environmentally friendly fashion design, sustainable food systems, music and climate change, and climate resilience.

The day will culminate with TED(C) Talks: Earth Matters, a discussion featuring a keynote address by Rhea Suh, President of the Natural Resources Defense Council, and a creative presentation and performance by Paul D. Miller aka DJ Spooky. This event highlights the Center's integration of bold design, policy, and social justice approaches to solving environmental issues.
