Mannes College The New School for Music announces the fourteenth annual Mannes Beethoven Institute, which will explore Beethoven's sonatas and chamber music as well as the solo and chamber works of the American composer Stephen Hartke (b. 1952) in a week of intensive study. The program will run June 1 - June 7, 2014.

Participating faculty includes pianists Alan Feinberg, Yuri Kim, HaeSun Paik, and Thomas Sauer; violinists Serena Canin, Ara Gregorian and Mark Steinberg; cellist Michael Kannen; tenor Nils Neubert; and musicologist Scott Burnham.

Faculty concerts will take place in the Mannes Concert Hall on Monday, June 2, and Friday, June 6 at 8:00 PM. Admission is $20; tickets are available in advance at www.newschool.edu/mannes/beethoven-institute and at the door on the evening of the performances. Students of the Institute will perform on Saturday, June 7 beginning at 1:00 p.m. Admission to the student performances is free.
