Jerome Rose, Founder and Director of the International Keyboard Institute and Festival, now in its 14th year at Mannes College The New School for Music.

New York (July 12, 2012) - Mannes College The New School for Music hosts the 14th annual International Keyboard Institute and Festival (IKIF), founded by Mannes alumnus and faculty member Jerome Rose. The 2012 IKIF will feature two concert series:

The Prestige Series features young artists from around the world, all of whom are at the beginning of international careers. Many of these artists have recently won major international competitions including Liszt, Tchaikovski, Rubenstein, and the World Piano Competition.

The Masters Series features established guest artists, many of whom not only perform but also lead a master class for Mannes students, and Mannes faculty. Returning to give a recital and master classes include Akiko Ebi, Marc-Andre Hamelin, Denis Kozhukhin, Cyprien Katsaris, Alexander Kobrin, HaeSun Paik and Mykola Suk. International Keyboard Institute Founder/Director Jerome Rose will perform the Festival's opening concert.

In addition, the International Keyboard Festival will feature special lecture/recitals:

Paul Roberts will present "Debussy & Ravel: Friends or Foes?" (Jul. 21)

David Dubal and Eva Rubinstein will present "Remembering Arthur Rubinstein" (Jul. 21)

David Dubal and Jerome Rose will present "Everything... and the Piano" (Jul. 22)

Location for all International Keyboard Institute and Festival Concerts: Mannes Concert Hall, 150 West 85th Street, NYC

Admission: $20 per concert; $15 per master class; Daily Pass: $50 (classes plus 2 concerts); Festival Pass (2 weeks - 27 events): $250; Week I, Festival Pass: $125 (11 concert events; 1 lecture); Week II, Festival Pass: $125 (13 concert events; 1 lecture; MacKenzie Competition semis and finals)
