Each semester, The Visiting Artist Program at Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts invites a distinguished professional artist to work with students in a series of lectures, public programs, workshops, and master classes. Since its inception in fall 2006, the program has given students the opportunity to witness an engaged artist at work. Visiting artists reflect the values of collaboration, experimentation, and commitment to artistic excellence that inform the arts program at Lang. This spring, visiting artist Ralph Lemon teaches Practice of Form, a two-credit course that investigates the relationship between creative practice and outcome, or form.
