WHAT: As a part of a year-long celebration of the Public Theater’s 50th anniversary, two generations of Public Theater playwrights gather at The New School to discuss their experiences. This collaboration is the first one in a series between The New School and the Public Theater. Sponsored by The Public Theater's 50th Anniversary Celebration, the Writing Program, and the Vera List Center for Art and Politics at The New School.

SPEAKERS:

John Guare is an award-winning playwright and screenwriter whose plays include The House of
Blue Leaves, Six Degrees of Separation, and Four Baboons Adoring the Sun.Suzan-Lori Parks, playwright and novelist whose play Topdog/Underdog won the Pulitzer Prizein Drama in 2002.
Diana Son is author of BOY, R.A.W. ('Cause I'm a Woman), Stop Kiss, and Fishes. Oskar Eustis, moderator, is Artistic Director of the Public Theater.
