(New York, NY – July 18, 2002) "Inside The Actors Studio," the television series that originates at the Actors Studio Drama School of New School University has received two Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Emmy Award nominations. The nominations are in the category of Outstanding Non-Fiction Special for the episode entitled "Inside the Actors Studio: 100th Guest Special" (with Gene Hackman) and Outstanding Non-Fiction Series for "Inside the Actors Studio: Robin Williams." The nominations were announced today in Los Angeles.

The show's creator, James Lipton, who also serves as Executive Producer/Writer/Host for the series, will attend the September 14, 2002 Creative Arts Emmy Awards in Pasadena, California.

Each episode of "Inside The Actors Studio," in which James Lipton interviews a celebrated actor, writer, or director, in-depth, about his or her life and career, is a course in the Actors Studio Drama School attended by students who participate in the interview and then remain in the classroom session with the guest as teacher. The students pose questions to the guest related to craft. The show is taped and edited for later telecast on Bravo, The Film and Arts Network.

"Inside The Actors Studio: 100th Guest Special" (with Gene Hackman) marked an historic landmark for the successful series, reprising the wit and wisdom of its first 100 guests.

"Inside The Actors Studio: Robin Williams" premiered on the Bravo network on June 10, 2001.

About to begin its 9th season and with more than 100 shows to its credit, "Inside The Actors Studio," which is Bravo's signature series, airs on Sunday evenings at 8 PM/ET.
