Product Design Senior Exhibition: The Rituals of Play
Wednesday, May 1 - Friday, May 10 at the Aronson Galleries

This year, the Product Design Department at Parsons will be engaged in an exploration of the activities, philosophies, traditions, innovations, technologies, cultural approaches and social functions that define play. In pursuing this concept, it will be presumed that play is a systematic, structured, communicated and communicative endeavor. Students will be involved in processes and projects that investigate the role that play performs, and will also explore ways in which forms and strategies of play may be employed in the development and implementation of new ideas, technologies, products and practices. Parsons Exhibitions demonstrate the School's commitment to excellence and innovation in art and design; two galleries, open to the public, are scheduled year-round with exhibitions by Parsons School of Design’s faculty and students and outside artists and designers.
