"Exploring Digital Fashion and Textile" was conceived to bring a unique group of digital fashion and textile artists together to share their diverse range of work. Designed to demystify the technology utilized by each artist, the exhibition demonstrates how it is being applied to fashion and textile design and presentation. With an educational focus, each installation includes documentation of various creative and technical processes for the viewer to explore.

The sampling of the work includes:

Artists participating in the exhibition include: Helle Abild, Theo Artz, Jon Birdsey, J.R. Campbell, J. Michelle Hill-Campbell, Hara Century, Albert Elia (Parsons Fashion faculty member), Geoffry Gertz, Alison Hardy, Jane Harris, Rosalind Kennedy, Kerry McGuire King, Jay Kreimer, Kathi Martin, Bia Martinez, Karen Martone, Marycarol Miller (Parsons Fashion faculty member), Kim Munro, Joe Pescatore (Parsons Fashion faculty member), Elaine Polvinen, John Sano, Wendy, Weiss, and Hitoshi Ujiie.

Scheduled throughout the exhibition, there will be lectures and workshops given by exhibiting artists and sponsors. There will also be an online publication available to accompany the exhibition.

The following sponsors assisted in the exhibition: Age Technologies (supported an artist with software), Concord Fabrics (supported an artist with printing), Lectra Systemes (piece included in exhibition), Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London (funded an artist), Stork America (supported an artist with printing), The Crafts Alliance of New York State (funded an artist), and Vicon (grant to an artist for the show).

Parsons Exhibitions demonstrates Parsons School of Design’s commitment to excellence and innovation in art and design; two galleries, open to the public, are scheduled with year-round exhibitions by Parsons School of Design’s faculty and students and outside artists and designers.
