Publications and Editorial

The Publications staff is made up of writers, editors, and project managers who collaborate with others in the university to develop printed materials that address promotional and educational needs. Publications project managers oversee projects from inception to completion, advising on matters of message and audience, ensuring content and editorial consistency, and recommending efficient printing and work procedures.

Publications and Editorial staff may write (or oversee the writing), edit (or oversee the editing), and/or manage the production and printing of bulletins, catalogs, viewbooks, alumni newsletters, brochures, and more. See examples of recent publications. They also contribute to the content on the website.

Editorial staff oversees the University Style Guide, which is used to keep written materials consistent. The guide details everything from how to refer to each of the schools, to capitalization, to the use of dashes.

Information for New School Faculty and Staff
The Publications staff are your primary contacts for most assignments and will work with you to strategize the best possible finished product. It is essential that you fill out a CEA Job Request form before any work can be done. If you are writing an official university document, make sure to refer to the style guide.
