mANNES cOLLEGE tHE NEW SCHOOL FOR MUSIC aNNOUNCES 2008-09 mASTER ARTIST IN RESIDENCE DEBORAH VOIGTNEW YORK, New York, September 8, 2008 — Mannes College The New School for Music has announced that Deborah Voigt, the world-renowned soprano, will be a Master Artist in Residence for the 2008–09 academic year. Ms. Voigt will work privately with students and might offer a public master class. Dean Joel Lester said, “Simply put, this is an extraordinary opportunity for top voice students at Mannes to work with one of the great singers of our time.” “Master Artist in Residence” is a title Mannes College confers on eminent musicians who are not regular faculty members, but who provide invaluable guidance to students.
