The first year at Parsons is a transitional time in which students gain confidence and skills and are introduced to the urban environment of New York City. While Foundation students acclimate they are joined by others who are passionate about all kinds of art and design and who will continue on to study in most of the bachelor's programs – including BFA, BA and BS degrees -- at Parsons. This mix of students is an important and exciting part of the Foundation experience and reflects an art and design world that is becoming increasingly transdisciplinary.
