Dean Dalfonzo: Advanced Drawing
Dean Dalfonzo holds an MFA from the New York Academy of Art. He currently teaches at Parsons School of Design and Pratt Institute, and has guest lectured at The Lyme Academy, the Rhode Island School of Design and Drew College. He worked in the Norwegian studio of acclaimed figurative painter Odd Nerdrum, and was a summer resident at the Florence Academy of Art. He holds a Certificate in Fine Art from The Maryland Institute. He has studied with Steven Assael, Vincent Desiderio, Martha Earlbacher, Eric Fischl, Dean Keller, Greg Kreutz, Damian Loeb, Odd Nerdrum, Tony Scherman and Nelson Shanks. He has exhibited at both Sotheby’s and Christie’s auction houses in New York and his work is in private collections world-wide and corporate collections including The Federal Bureau of Investigation, United Airlines, Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts, Struever Brothers, Eccles and Rouse Developers and The Baltimore Sun. Dean supports himself as a working artist in Brooklyn, New York. Prior to becoming a full time artist, Dean worked for 10 years as a graphic designer and illustrator for The Baltimore Sun, and has done freelance design for Time Inc. and Conde Nast publications.
 

Julian Guthrie: Fashion Design
Julian Guthrie, a designer and educator, has worked in the fashion industry for almost ten years.  He enjoys creating experimental designs by exploring shape and unconventional materials.  He has worked for Coach, The Donna Karan Company, J. Crew, Perry Ellis, and Calvin Klein Women’s Collection.

In addition, he currently is a part-time instructor at the Parsons School of Design and also earned his BFA degree at the Parsons School of Design.
 

Nina Frenkel: Animation Design
Nina Frenkel is an Animator/Illustrator who works out of her studio in Manhattan’s Garment District. She began her illustration career on the staff of Slate Magazine in 1996, and has continued to work for the magazine as well as other clients, which include: MSNBC, Starbucks, New York Magazine, Good Housekeeping Magazine. She worked as a staff Animator at Smashing Ideas Inc. (Seattle, WA) and continues to animate in Flash for her own clients. Currently she is animating 6 characters she designed for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston’s educational site “Economic Adventures”. She studied Studio Art at Carleton College (MN) and continued her studies at the School of Visual Concepts (Seattle, WA), the School of Visual Arts (NYC).
 

Charlotte Schulz: Portfolio Development
Charlotte Schulz was born in Massillon, Ohio, and studied at Kent State University, in Kent, Ohio, and the University of South Florida, in Tampa, where she did her graduate work. She also attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in the summer of 1992. She is the recipient of individual artist fellowships from the New York Foundation for the Arts in 2009 and 2002, the Pollack-Krasner Foundation in 2005-2006, the State of Florida in 1996, and the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 1992. Notable group exhibitions include Vocabularies of Metaphor: More Stories, Hosfelt Gallery, San Francisco, CA, Dark Poets, Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, MD; ARCHI+TEXTURE, Brooklyn Fire Proof, Brooklyn, NY; underCURRENT/overview, Tampa Museum of Art, Tampa, FL; Featuring Florida, The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, Sarasota, FL. Her recent solo exhibitions include An Insufficiency in Our Screens, Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, Ridgefield, CT and Mills College Art Museum, Oakland, CA. Schulz lives and works in Cold Spring.

Steve Kennedy: Graphic Design
Steve Kennedy is an adjunct professor in Communication Design at Parsons School of Design. He teaches Typography, Graphic Design, and Letterpress. Steve is founder and owner of Interrobang Design Studio, and a trustee of the Graphic Communications Scholarship Fund.
 

Bliss Lau: Fashion Accessory Design
A graduate of Parsons Fashion program in 2003, New York based Bliss Lau launched her handbag collection that same year. Raised in Hawaii, Bliss takes inspiration from the culture and beauty of the islands, infused with her understanding of city life and the importance of the perfect handbag. In Spring 2006, Bliss launched her belt collection. Inspired by the beauty of traditional Hawaiian quilting techniques, the belts feature floral cutouts which compliment and shape the curves of a woman's body. Ms. Lau works closely with her craftsmen during every stage of production to uphold the finest quality at the highest standards. Each bag and belt is made with precision and designed for comfort and convenience. She is committed to fine quality leathers which are supple to the touch, beautiful, and durable.
 

Kenneth Millington: Portfolio Development
Kenneth Millington received his BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1996. He has pursued painting projects abroad in Europe and South America including watercolor studies with Ricardo Perez Alcala in La Paz, Bolivia. Kenneth also works as a large- scale muralist painting exterior projects around the country. He received a MFA from the School of Visual arts in 2005 and continues to paint large-scale watercolors. He has been awarded several grants including the J. William Fulbright Fellowship, The Elizabeth Greenshields Grant, the Stacey Scholarship. Kenneth lives and works in Brooklyn.
 

Stacy Seiler: Portfolio Development, Drawing
Born and raised in the factory-driven neighborhoods of South Baltimore and West Philadelphia, Stacy Seiler’s work documents the silhouettes of decaying industry found in urban landscape. Utilizing materials such as charcoal, cut-paper collage, and light installation, Stacy explores themes of neglect and abandonment in early 20th century structures by re-presenting the raw shapes of utilitarian forms as objects of beauty. Stacy received her BFA from the Maryland Institute, College of Art and her MFA in Fine Art from Parsons School of Design. Her work is represented by Margaret Thatcher Projects along with the international art dealer Catherine Von Saldern in New York.
 

Nadia Williams: Fashion Design
Nadia Williams is a graduate of Parsons BFA Fashion Design program. Her work experience includes designing for Gap Kids and Banana Republic, as well as several design internships and awards. She has taught ESL in Mexico, as well as in New York, where she has also done career counseling for city youth.
 

Katy Krantz: Foundations Studio, Drawing
Katy Krantz is a Brooklyn-based artist who creates large-scale paintings and collages. Her work conveys a dynamic and complex world in which disaster, chaos and ruin co-exist with fertility and growth. Dealing with issues such as impermanence and excess, Krantz embraces a dynamic art making process in which chance and surprise play an important role. Krantz has exhibited locally and internationally, showing her work in such venues as The Oakland Museum in California and the City Museum of Cuernavaca, in Mexico. Most recently, Krantz was a Pollock/Krasner Fellow at the Byrdcliffe Artists Colony in Woodstock, New York. Krantz is also the recipient of numerous awards and fellowships including the Lutz/Riedel Fellowship, the Nancy Ashton Prize and the Irwin Scholarship. She earned her BA from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and her MFA from Hunter College.
