7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Stephan Weiss Lecture Series

This year’s Stephan Weiss Lecture Series continues on April 4, with a presentation by J. Morgan Puett entitled “Workstyles,”

Morgan’s projects traverse both the art world and the fashion system, defining a social practice that challenges the status quo of insular systems, creating working-living-researching environments to foster engagement with every aspect of life. She explores among other things the history of costume design and production — as well as its social, environmental, and industrial implications.

J. Morgan Puett is founder of Mildred’s Lane a combination of hand crafted clothing line and social practice . Her work has been featured in New York magazine, W, Harpers Bazaar, Art Forum, Art in America, World of Interiors, I.D. and The New York Times, among other media outlets. She is the recipient of numerous awards and fellowships, and was named a Fellow of United States Artists in December 2011. Her work has been exhibited at renowned institutes internationally, most recently at the MoMA, New York, NY.
