François Jégou: From the Design of Public Services to the Design of Public Policies

Building on a series of recent research projects, François Jégou, founder of the sustainable innovation lab Strategic Design Scenarios, questions the way public action is conducted and discusses the potential of design to support the co-evolution of social and public innovation.

François Jégou has conducted research on a range of subjects, including Creative Communities for Sustainable Living in China, India, Brazil and Africa, the diffusion of social innovations to support sustainable transition, and the future of innovation. He is the scientific director of the public innovation lab 27e Région in France and the coordinator of DESIS Europe, the European branch of the Design for Social Innovation and Sustainability network. Jégou teaches strategic design at ENSCI Les Ateliers Paris, La Cambre in Brussels, and Politecnico Milano.

This event is presented by the Parsons Desis Lab as part of the Public & Collaborative NYC Lecture Series.
