AMPLIFY (PDF) is part of a two-year design driven initiative funded by the Rockefeller Foundation’s New York City Cultural Innovation Fund.

AMPLIFY is an exhibition and workshop series aimed at developing creative, sustainable lifestyles by strengthening existing grassroots activities within New York City neighborhoods. AMPLIFY showcases the process of investigating and designing new scenarios for social innovation demonstrated in "creative communities" where the collective actions of citizens produce positive change within their neighborhoods and environment. Such changes include community gardens, food co-ops, alternative childcare services, or organizers of a music festival. This event is sponsored by the University Civic Engagement Committee.

Works-In-Progress is a series designed to bring New School faculty, students, and staff together to discuss and build community around civic engagement projects. Events planned for this year present on-going projects and offer the audience an opportunity to learn about these works and other opportunities for civic engagement.
