U-n-f-o-l-d: This Clement World

6:30 p.m.

A work-in-progress presentation of a
musical performance piece addressing the global climate crisis with poetic urgency, performed by Cynthia Hopkins, designed by Jeff Sugg, and directed by DJ Mendel.

This Clement World is a live performance-cum-documentary film incorporating idiosyncratic fiction and original avant-folk orchestral songs, conveying vital information on the climate crisis in a deeply personal manner. Like previous works by Hopkins and her collaborators, this musical performance work takes an innovative approach to narrative through the integration of a variety of media including music, text, movement, visual display, and design.

This program is presented in conjunction with the exhibition U-n-f-o-l-d: A Cultural Response to Climate Change. For more information, visit
