Deadline: Registrations are processed in the order in which they are received. Register early as enrollments are limited and most courses fill before the registration deadlines. The deadline for Summer Intensive Studies in Paris is May 1, 2012. If you submit a registration for a class that has closed, a Parsons representative will contact you to discuss other course options.

how to Register for Courses

Select the pre-college or college/adult level (described below) as appropriate and then select your course.

  • Pre-College Level: Students must be 16 years of age (and younger than 19) as of July 2, 2012.
  • College and Adult Level Courses: Students must be at least 19 years of age as of July 2, 2012 or or have completed one year of college.

Tuition and fees: $5,370 for a four-week course; $2,750 for a two-week course. Full payment is required at the time of registration.

Payment Methods

Notes about paying by credit card: To ensure a smooth registration process, check with your bank before submitting your credit card information, especially if your card is issued by a bank outside of the United States. Make sure that the expiration date of the card is at least two months after the date on which you submit your tuition payment. Also remember that credit and debit cards usually limit how much you can charge.

Online Registration: Pay by credit card only. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted.

Paper Registration: Pay by credit card, U.S. domestic check, money order, or cash.

  • Payment by credit card: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express are accepted. Write your credit card number and expiration date on the Registration Form.
  • Payment by check:Checks submitted for payment must be drawn on a United States bank with a United States bank routing number and account number Mica encoded on the check. Foreign checks are not accepted.
  • Payment by money order: International money orders (such as American Express) in United States dollars are accepted.
  • Payment in cash: Payment in cash can only be made in person. Do not send cash in the mail.

Note: Course registration does not guarantee housing. Housing through Parsons is provided only for students in the four-week Pre-College program. Students planning to attend the two-week or four-week program for Adult/College students should contact parishousing@newschool.edu for information about housing options.

withdrawals and Refunds

Withdrawals must be submitted in writing and received before the dates below to qualify for refund of tuition:

  • Prior to May 1: full tuition refund
  • Prior to June 1: refund of tuition less 20% penalty
  • After June 1: no tuition refund
