On Thursday, November 12, Bruce Nussbaum, BusinessWeek contributing editor and visiting professor of Innovation and Design at The New School will be in conversation with Roger Martin, dean of the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. Nussbaum and Martin will discuss the route followed by successful design thinkers in business, science, and the arts, on the occasion of the publication of Martin’s new book, The Design of Business: Why Design Thinking is The Next Competitive Advantage.
The Design of Business shows how leading companies use design thinking to push knowledge through stages in ways that produce breakthrough innovations and competitive advantages. The book also reveals how the foundation of successful, profitable innovation occurs through connecting the worlds of business and design.
The conversation will take place at The New School, Wollman Hall, 66 West 12th Street, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, and will be followed by a book signing. For more information, please visit http://www.newschool.edu/events .
